Victim of anti-Christian violence.

I am sure many of you remember this blog article of mine (read here) “Love letter to a Hatemonger” which was a response post to an anonymous threatening letter I received months ago. There is many such piling up in my inbox lately due to my direct assault on Hindutva and its mascots.

There was a time when I thought Christians must remain silent and prayerful as the Sangh Parivar and Hindutva fanatics continue making a ruckus. Unfortunately, that dint help. I doubt if Christians were keeping their good spiritual morals by not opposing what is bad and voicing for what is good. We all saw what happened in Kandhamal last year. Scores died and at least 50,000 were left homeless after the baseless allegations of fanatics on conversion and missionary evangelisation.

The Sangh Parivar which believes in the Hinduisation of India, with its divisive and parochial views have caused chaos by inciting decent Hindu youths to wage a war that is never theirs. The result is: Hindus are being portrayed chauvinist and barbaric by the western media. In a nutshell, I should say my assault on Hindutva fanatics is only exonerating Hindus while indicting the miscreants. You can may be call me pro-Hindu and anti-Hindutva.

These illiterate fanatics will cause more mayhem if we stand mere spectators while doing nothing. The world must know the ugly side of these fanatics, and Hindus specially must be freed from this brainwashing. They make a hullabaloo if a pastor is preaching in his church or a missionary is seen involving in social service. The Indian Constitution has given the right to practise and propagate one’s faith. Alright let’s say we do not bring constitutional clauses here at all, without them let me prove if I can extricate Christians. If you want to debate and prove me wrong, here is your chance; I am ready to shut down my blog.

From recently the freedom of religion has been curbed and hundreds have been murdered on many anti-Christian cooked up charges. The allegation prominently made is – Missionaries convert masses. A Christian activist recently had posed this question – Christians in their schools educate over 15 million students every year. But, is there a single evidence to prove even a single student has been forced to convert? The Christ spirit emanating from Christians have led them to be the second largest health care institution after the govt of India. Being the miniscule, salt of India, Christians have stupendously contributed, but what they get in return is being branded “European descendants” and being made an outcast. Just because Britishes colonised India doesn’t mean Christians are their colonial leftovers. Christianity came to India even before it reached many European countries. The saddest part is Europe is losing God and it needs Christians from India to remind them of Gospel.

Alright let us keep Europe and Christianity aside, what about Hinduism, it was never propagated? Dint Hinduism spread to Malay, Cambodia, Annam, Sumatra, Bali etc? Buddhism which began in India spread to China, Korea, Japan, Tibet, Sri Lanka, etc. Christianity from Israel went to Europe and America. So is propagating faith wrong? Now to the other allegation of receiving foreign funds for conversion. Many are still unaware that all the foreign money coming to India is being strictly monitored by the FCRA. Even the money which is being received is used for social services. Over 24% of social services in the country are run by Christian groups. They also run 40,000 educational institutions. It is not a joke. None has achieved this. In US and Europe Hindus are building temples and raising money which is sent to fanatic groups like the Sangh Parivar. They subsequently use this to conduct attacks and buy weapons to use against minorities. India will be in shambles under their rule. The Sangh Parivar is nothing but the reincarnation of Taliban. They still live in Stone Age. It is time Hindus bid adieu to these fanatic groups. It is time for secular and democratic India to play its role. Proselytizing is wrong, but propagation of faith isn’t. If Christians are continued to be burned and hacked, the ones to be in loss would be Sangh Parivar. They and their children’s future will be crippled without the catalyst role of Christians. Let us pray that God can heal the wounds of thousands of victims and widowed woman. May another Kandhamal never repeat. It is like-minded WE who should sensitize the people and build peace.
