While reading your article and the comments & threat that followed I am reminded of a lecture by Prof. Ram Puniyani where he spoke of a term 'Social Common Sense'. He defined social common sense as a set of understanding which majority of the people in the society come to believe that they are right but they have nothing to do with truth, most of them are by in large wrong, they are manufactured, they are created, they are propagated, they are instilled into the people's mind through different mechanisms and there is a definite motive behind that. I wish my Hindu friends here could simply spend a little time in knowing the truth before reacting. Very good article Sam with facts and figures.
